Annual Poetry Contest awards ceremony
By the time you receive this newsletter, it
will be too late to submit an entry for our 29th Annual Poetry
Contest. But it won’t be too late to attend the awards
presentation on April 26 at Circle Arts Theatre. The event will
begin at 7 p.m., and the winners will read their winning poems
and receive their awards. Awards will be presented to students
in the following categories: fifth and sixth grade, seventh and
eighth grade, and high school. There is also a category for
adults. After the awards, the Greater New Braunfels Arts Council
will hold a reception for the winners, their families, and
others attending. Following the Poetry Contest events, the
Greater New Braunfels Arts Council will hold its Annual Meeting,
and all members of the Council are welcome to participate.
