An Evening Clay Workshop – Organic Rim Dishes
In this 2 hour class you will learn clay basics and fundamental hand-building techniques and apply them to create two handmade dishes. Decorative stamps, textiles, crochet doilies, and carving tools will be provided for you to create a one-of-a-kind piece. Feel free to bring anything you would like to imprint into your dish (fresh leaves make beautiful designs). Choose from an assortment of glazes for each piece you create. Pieces will be available for local pickup in 4-5 weeks (shipping available for an additional fee).

Jolind Tays, owner of Firefly Pottery, is a third generation Ceramic Artist based out of New Braunfels, TX. While her work primarily focuses on functional wheel-thrown pottery and mishima, Jolind enjoys experimenting with handbuilding and alternative techniques for detailing and firing ceramics using natural materials.
