41st Annual Poetry Contest
For over four decades, the Greater New Braunfels Arts Council has proudly partnered with the New Braunfels Writers Guild to host the Annual Poetry Contest — a cherished tradition that celebrates the creative spirit of our community. This contest invites poets of all ages and backgrounds to share their voices, whether through playful verse, reflective prose, or evocative storytelling.
Since its inception in 1984, the contest has grown into a beloved event that fosters artistic expression, community engagement, and literary excellence. The competition offers both seasoned poets and emerging voices the opportunity to showcase their work and be recognized for their unique contributions to the literary landscape.
Although the contest experienced a brief pause in 2020 due to the pandemic, it has continued to be an integral part of our cultural offerings, inspiring generations of writers and readers alike.
